It is true that many companies use Twitter as marketing tool now. Twitter is probably “direct to target” strategy and rather full of information if you use it right. It is possible that you earn more income for using Twitter as a way to promote your business. You do not need to be a star or celebrity to get many followers, although celebrities have advantages from their “stardom” in gaining followers.
The first one is to get as many followers as you can. Your own picture can really help and it is rather a good way rather than putting up somebody’s picture. If your business is establish and running for quite long time, you can put your company logo as an avatar. Link your real homepage on your profile field. This will make people easier to reach your company. The truth is, you can get the same with SEO but Twitter offers new way in targeting your market.
Remember on the term followers, so when you get more people that you follow rather than people who follow you, you better stop that. Make a good description of your company in interesting way and factual. Use good English to target wide market. Then try to tweet as many as you can, at least few times a week, and this is supposed to be informative rather than talking some craps.
